THE GLENROTHES 18 YEARS OLD

Part of the Glenrothes Soleo collection, the Glenrothes 18 Year Old Soleo is a wonderful release from the distillery featuring tasting notes of sweet vanilla, pear and fresh zesty ginger for a unique palate. This sublime dram, like the others in the Soleo range, acquires its name from the process of sun drying grapes to make sherry, as this expression was matured in ex-sherry casks for sherried goodness.

A dry nose, with rice pudding, teak oil and sultanas. The palate is smooth and sweet with dry notes of ginger biscuits emerging in the warming finish.

Tasting Notes

• Nose: Decadent vanilla and orange, with hints of cherry and almond developing.
  

• Palate: Still packing plenty of dried fruit notes, alongside crisp pear and a spicy touch of stem ginger.
  

• Finish: Lasting sweetness of vanilla and pear, with peppery flourishes.
