Teeling Single Malt, is a vatted malt expression containing whiskey from various ages throughout their stocks. Initially matured in ex-bourbon casks, the malt whiskey was then spread out in a selection of 5 wine casks for a period of 6-24 months. Using port, sherry, madeira, white burgundy, and cabernet sauvignon casks, they have created a fruit forward refined non-age statement single malt.
On the nose, clearly and distinctively fruit forward in style with hints of white and stone fruit turning deeper as more time is spent with the whiskey. The palate again is full of cask influence, with rich fruit, orange peel, chocolate and oak spice. This whiskey has great length with a smooth warming finish.
