Royal Brackla Distillery was founded by Captain William Fraser in 1812 from his farm on the Cawdor Estate near Inverness. With so many illicit distilleries in the local area, he shipped his whisky to London where it was tasted by King William IV, who bestowed the first Royal Warrant for a whisky in 1833.
Today, this opulent Single Malt is finished in a variety of sherry casks to give fascinating spice character and depth of flavour.
This stunning new bottle design encases a rich and exuberant whisky. The full bodied spice of oloroso, and the bright summer breeze of the Royal Brackla elegantly combine as a smooth and inviting dram - ripe cherries, toasted almonds and dark brown sugar.
. Nose: Ripe apples, cinnamon, raisin, and soft sherry
. Palate: Creamy malt, stewed fruits, nutmeg, and subtle oak
. Finish: Long and warming with sweet spice and lingering sherry richness
